Brushes
There are so many options when it comes to brushes as many brands have their own collection. I am a true believer in not spending a ton of money on one single brush set. My personal brushes are a mix of different brands, some more expensive than others.
For beginners I would start with the basics. Foundation, powder, blush and two eye shadow brushes. Once you have mastered using these you can begin to introduce some of the more complex brushes professionals use such as an angled liner brush.
Some people find applying eye shadow intimidating, however any professional makeup artist will tell you a decent brush is the key to good eye makeup and I would say every woman should own a basic set or a few individual brushes to upgrade their makeup look.
